So I tried power cycling both, and still nothing. Here’s my problem: For Christmas I purchased a Vizio tv for my 6 year old daughter’s bedroom on marketplace. Tv works but only has a power button. It’s too loud. They didn’t have the remote, so I tried one universal remote that we already had for the other Vizio tv. It didn’t work. Went to Walmart purchased the VIZIO XRT136 remote supposedly works on all Vizio. Well it did not work. I call tech support and they send me the same fuckn remote. I shit you not. And so I tried it and it didn’t work 💔😩😭

The only thing that works on my remote is the input button I tired power cycling the tv and remote and called the company. One website was trying to charge me 5 bucks just to tak to them then the real site told me to sign in so I called and they didnt do anything they were gonna charge me 20 bucks for a new remote and told me I could look on other site like Amazon. Definitely didnt work.

Hey man . This worked for my daughters brand new Vizio. Absolutely ridiculous that you have to even do this. On a NEW TV. Its definitely a software thing…which took 4 hrs to download? Never again…Vizio needs to reassess how customer friendly these devices truely are. but thanks for the help guy
