   I am thinking of doing away with recordings if this cannot be disabled any way cos its a deal breaker for me. Regarding the notification i mentioned in other comment

   How i disable the notification that comes up everytime a recording starts. Its very annoying when playing a game and takes a minute to disappear unless you press it with remote. But bit hard in middle of a firefight on halo.

    Hello Matthew I just bought the new LG TV and I have so many questions! Their customer service is useless. I connect my USB that already has shows on it. Is that ok that I have not formatted it? I would only need to format a new empty one that I am about to record on? Thank you!

    When i press rec on my remote there is a message displayed UNSUPPORTED FUNCTION IN HDMI INPUT.Where is my problem what should i do to start record tv?Please help.Thanx

    I called LG support. Basically, they told me that, due to copyright, they were not allowing recording on sets sold in the USA. Perhaps, they will allow this in the future, pushed through software update. .. To me, silly, as long as the file is encrypted for specific tv dependancy. As far as fast forwarding through commercials go, every cable dvr allows that, plus not an issue if shows had fewer commercials…. My LG tv is a 43uk6300pue.

    I think 80% of hdd don't work. Need tech support phone number, as they don't tell us the 3 drives with which it works, or the hidden menu item needed to get the hdd 1 to works as a recorder

    Is all we can do is record one ota channel a few hours ahead? Seems lame for the expense needed. If you could do repeating schedules, including iptv, it might be worth it. If I just needed to shell out twenty bucks for a usb stick, for an hour of pausing, barely, but worth it. If it works like the tablo tv, with a massive guide, then it would rock.

    I'm still happier using my Set Top Box to record, especially as I can record 3 programmes while watching a fourth. With my LG 55SJ810V TV I can only watch the programme I am recording which is pretty lousy

    I assume the TV won't record if it is turned off? Or does it turn itself on when it records?
