  1. Randy hook says:

XFL WOULD HAVE FAILED ANYWAY, MERGER WOULD END CANADIAN COLLEGE FOOTBALL. FORGET THE IDEA LET XFL DIE LIKE THE WFL USFL UFL FXFL ACFL CONTINENTAL FOOTBAL LEAGUE AAF, SO ON SO ON

  2. KenRyu says:

I really really home there's a merger and the league is healthy

  3. Kev_New360 says:

I'll be picking Montreal Alouettes as my team because it's Jon Lajoie's favourite team and the only team I know in the CFL

  4. Chris Mason says:

Mix it Up…..fahgah- get only playing in a championship and GOODBYE CFL RULES!

  5. Chris Mason says:

Dallas is America’s team, Who is the Carnadian’s team?????????????

  6. Chris Mason says:

That Graham Cracker Hersey bar dude is scary, get him a helmet.

  7. Chris Mason says:

After looking at the books, I’ll bet the CFL will bend on EVERY RULE!

  8. Chris Mason says:

Who with me? Only odd number of games played, so we r only having a winning or losing season, NO tie records, I hate 8-8 teams, make up your mind, r u a winner or loser. Disclaimer: this is NOT a hill I will die on though….

  9. Chris Mason says:

I’m picking the Argos now to win it All baby!

  10. I really hope the XFL doesn’t become a sort of minor league for the NFL. My long term hope for the XFL is to replace the NFL

  11. Scott Low says:

Speaking from a Canadian view starting the season before April wouldn't work plus up here you'd be competing with the NHL playoffs until May. I'd be ok with the regular season starting in end of April with the Championship (Grey Cup) at the end of September and the goalposts at the front of the end zones are not as big of an issue as you are making out to be they rarely come into play not to mention the NFL didn't move them to the back until 1974

  12. tri nguyen says:

Completely agree. CFL champions vs XFL champions. Please do not merge. Keep them separate. I would be super excited. Back in the 80s, there was supposed to be a CFL vs NFL game in 84, but it never materialized. Canada's team used to be Toronto during the Bruce McNall days. It is probably Calgary or Saskatchewan now.

  13. There's no way the CFL will give up Labour Day. If the CFL moves its season to earlier in the year, then it will have to hold the Grey Cup on Labour Day.

  14. I’m a RoughRiders fan. Been one the last 30 years. I became a fan because they had the same colors in the 80s like my Philadelphia Eagles who I’ve been a fan of for 41 years.

  15. Im a Canadian I love this can xfl be combined with cfl????

  16. Jobu says:

The mechanics of this are all wrong, CFL competing with Stanley Cup playoffs ain't happening. March training camp with 3 feet of snow on the ground ain't happening. Real CFL season (the back 9) starts Labor day weekend. XFL fans hoping the CFL becomes a spring league are dreaming.

  17. I been jonesing for 2022 I need the battlehawks back. I keep hearing If this merger happens most xfl teams might get cut in favor of bigger cities.

  18. Rowntree says:

Born and raised in Alberta, I am a big Edmonton fan since Warren Moon days, I am excited and my XFL team is Tampa Bay Vipers Fan. Watched a # of games in 2019 Marc Trestman was a fantastic coach in Montreal

  19. So why not split the broadcast between Canadians and American boom problem fixed

  20. The Canadian Ratio is a big obstacle

  21. OMFreakingGoof. I'm a very easy going, just let it flow, DGAflop type of person. I'm very flexible at first as to how long it takes, as long as it's a solid, achievable, and realistic time line. That ends with a quality product, that gives you a little more then what you would already expect. When it comes to the XFL, I'm starting to not be so hot on how they are handling their game plan, or maybe even how they are using their time. As it surely ticks on by. I was in hopes DG and Rocket would be laying out a solid plan, to fast track the XFL to be ready the moment they are able to safely move forward. This way they can take advantage of the over achieving wave of interest the first season was pulling in at the end. It is a much more realistic and genuine football experience, that gives you that extra dimension of hearing everything and interacting with the players on field. The genius and successful modified play, gives you less play to play lag, plus a kick off that gives teams creative and exciting designed special teams plays to get better position or take it all the way. The way everything is handled and put together naturally creates a high intensity faster feeling game, that sneaks the extra heavy hits on by most of the time. If there is a CFL merger, I am A-O-K with that, but it must be a merger, not that parallel after thought bee snot. The XFL can not lose their superior forward thinking rules, they (XFL rules) should be universally used in both "Divisions"(?). We will for sure keep, honor, and share with them, their Grey Cup Heritage, in exchange for keeping the rules. Possibly might also be ok with letting go of the XFL extra/multi point system for theirs, for continuities sake I guess.(After we move that 1940s style goal post) Cause heck, what American wouldn't like trying to nab a Grey Cup from the guys who are missing a color on their flag.(Hey just a little friendly picking, I'm dual citizen so tell me how that works? I like Molson and French speaking women from Quebec, but I drive a Ford and love the 2nd amendment!) Either way the XFL had a window, and still might some how if lucky. But the longer they take the more interest that is lost. Screwing everything up along the way, as they were self sustaining before the shut down as proof of concept.

  22. Well the places that might be good to have football teams are 1. Orlando 2. San Antonio 3. Birmingham 4. Portland 5. Omaha

  23. Its high school football shouldn't even matter.

  24. How is collage and high-school football more popular. Collage football isn't the greatest ball. 80 % of those players aren't even NFL xfl and cfl caliber .

  25. nick p says:

The XFL and CFL could create a 18 team league, which would definitely get some good TV viewership

  26. My CFL team is Tampa Bay

  27. The Rock should get Brett Hart to endorse it and draw fans

  28. It can be tricky to pick a team from a new league or league that is new to you. I floundered around between a few AAF teams but eventually settled on the Arizona Hotshots. I liked the play of John Wolford and the back story behind the team name. Initially I cheered for teams with players who got cut from the CFL. Whether they landed on the starting rosters or at least in backup positions. I tried cheering for teams closer to my geographical region. But as I said I eventually started following the Hotshots. The AAF was a bit the same as XFL 2.0 in terms of choosing teams. I never got to land on a team because everything XFL ended so soon. Too soon. Naturally with everything being new in both cases the offences took a while to catch up to the defences. Some people like to watch defensive football while others prefer more offence. Some people like more ground attack while others like more air attack. There are football fans that love to see big risk offence and or defence. Why am I saying all this? Because it's hard to determine what kind of team will emerge when a league is brand new. It takes a while for each team to forge it's identity. In the CFL the Blue Bombers have almost always maintained a solid running game. It's been an unofficial part of their identity for decades. The Tiger Cats have consistently had a bruising defence. The Stampeders seem to hedge on running and passing but have had a lot of gunslinger QB's over the past few decades so they are historically a pass happy team. I guess one could argue that all teams are like that. Stats would tell but I'm not going to drill down into that anytime soon. The Alouettes went through a period of time under hall of fame QB Anthony Calvillo where their passing game was almost unstoppable. In his career, Calvillo passed for 79,816 yards and is one of nine professional quarterbacks to have completed over 400 touchdown passes (the others being Brett Favre, Warren Moon, Peyton Manning, Dan Marino, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Philip Rivers and Aaron Rodgers). The Al's have struggled at QB since Calvillo retired in 2014. So. That's my two cents.

  29. Paladin Demo says:

Until there's definitive proof that there is a merger, I'm not hoping on the CFL bandwagon.

  30. D JP says:

"Pick CFL team" "Leagues will 🏃 parallel", "or a Merger" Hmm🤔! you know something.😁😁😁

  31. Mark Melo says:

I'm Canadian and followed the XFL as much as the CFL.
I think Americans, but more importantly, international markets would buy into the three-down game. It's also a way to stand out from the NFL and college without actually competing with them.
14 or 16 games seems about right to. 18 is far too ling.
A merger seems like a real possibility. Both sides have weaknesses where the other has strength. i.e. marketing and cash < XFL, league infrastructure and credibility < CFL.
With regards to the schedule, Labour Day rivalry games are our biggest tradition outside of the Grey Cup. I think that is a great weekend to end the season with playoffs there after. The Grey Cup should remain the championship for the Canadian conference.

  32. Jose Jimenez says:

I think the XFL needs to look into new markets for their teams. The wildcats need to move to San Diego because LA doesn't really support football, the Renegades need to move to San Antonio, because San Antonio will support the team and Dallas has the Cowboys and that brings less fan to the game, Vipers to Orlando because of Brady, Guardians just need a smaller stadium, Dragons good fan base but maybe move the team to Husky stadium, the other teams roughnecks, battlehawks, and defenders are fine where they are

  33. FOR THE LOVE OF FOOTBALL.

  34. Long live xfl 2022 and beyond. Go battlehawks kaw kaw. 🤘🦅

  35. I hope we get some good or any new 🤞

  36. And make sure that next others seasons we get a two, three teams expanded.

  37. The xfl new season in the next year will and probably will be happening.

  38. This merger needs to happen quickly so can xan finally get a xfl 2022 full season.

  39. Kendall says:

Nooooooo I want the XFL to come back I want to see the dragons 😭
