I am currently a junior in school learning some app development and considering to enter that field in college or through a course after graduating for more experience. However, I do not like spending my life sitting home just typing some code although I liked writing code during summer holidays before junior year. I just do not feel like it will be a good experience being isolated most of your life. Also, my country rarely has any available on-site as well as remote jobs and I am most likely not going to immigrate after graduating for personal reasons.

    Loved this video thank you!

Remote working is such a blessing. 👩🏾‍💻

  4. Noemi Solano says:

Even when you work in the office, nobody sees how hard you work. My Supervisor does not pay attention to who is working and who is not working.

I want a remote job…..I’m so damn tired of commuting to work….I’m at my breaking point

  10. I'm not very good with computers but I think working remotely would be ideal for me do you have a video of any tips and tricks to get started??

  11. How do you know what jobs are real and not just scams. I am currently looking to doing remote jobs so I can be there for my kids, but I can’t just not work. I’m dedicated and hard working, but not a clue on how to start.

  12. Please do some more remote job vlogs real soon! Thanks*

  13. Lol, I'm sorry I was watching multiple videos back to back while working, that wasn't for you, I meant to put: You are better than me because when I was going to school for my technical project management certification I didn't go for the 1 on 1 before discussing the project, I prefer to observe more while being respectful to them.

  14. “You don’t get to know coworkers, or have lunch with them”….. that’s exactly what I don’t want
And why I want to be remote lol

  15. N says:

So helpful! I start my first day in a remote role next week.

  16. I don't have a college degree as I have been working in manufacturing jobs and I wished that there was a job like customer service like for Amazon to help sell musical instruments as I am a professional musician.

  17. Happyme! says:

“You can work with just like…titties out” just make sure your webcam is switched off! 😂

  18. Chimdi96 says:

Me searching on YouTube: pros and cons of working remotely.

scrolls through videos and randomly click yours

Then the first thing I hear is “hey y’all, it’s Chimdi!”

    My mouth dropped! Namesake🥰

Yes, I know it’s a Nigerian name, but it’s very rare for me to meet another Nigerian girl with the name Chimdi. Is your name shortened or is it just Chimdi? Mine is just Chimdi.

    💃🏿🕺🏾

    Tiddies out?😂

  20. Tylean says:

That is so interesting-I’m quiet the opposite I always assume that everyone is super busy and if they are late or call out it’s always for a legit reason. I realize after a decade of being a “working person” LOL that’s not ALWAYS the case but it is my first assumption

  21. NIVO onairam says:

Whew, those hand gestures got me dizzy, low key

  22. White Noise says:

Results speak for themselves. Even when I am at work, I'm one of those who make the job look easy – so I never really felt appreciated anyway.
Once people realize that mistakes don't come from you and your work is quality, not being seen isn't always an issue.
Also, there is always an occasion when there is a group conversation – this is where you really need to be prepared to engage with Accurate and Interesting points.

  23. Elsa Galindo says:

just waiting to have a phone interview for emote work, thank you so much for your wisdom !!!

  24. Epicdelia says:

LOL work with 'titties out' … you're too funny.

  25. – You're not going to be close to your coworkers (0:51)
    – People can't see how hard you're working (2:12)
    – It's easy for work to blend into your life (4:18)

  26. I’ve been working remotely for a year now and I was wondering how you deal with sitting all day? Do you have a standing desk? If so, what brand/type? Thank you!!

  27. lizz0id says:

Love the advice, I just started that remote work life. I honestly love it, but having a little trouble adjusting to a routine that is in line with my partner.

  28. Valerie says:

So helpful! Starting as a remote Art Director tomorrow. I onboarded on site last week, but tomorrow starts the remote work. My team is already doing a great job of having group calls and one on ones with the team—a lot of us are remote. Great tips to consider!

  29. Celía Burke says:

This is great! I'm hoping to get a remote job soon and this is absolutely new territory for me.

  30. I’m lucky because I work in small businesses remotely. I don’t have to prove myself because if my Boss wants to know what I’m doing and how long I work on it he just checks my sent folder in my mailbox.

What kills me has nothing to do with my co workers. They’re my little Gerbils and so long as they are happy my job is super easy. Even if I have to do coaching we still make it positive.

The things that suck is while the government demands taxes no one else sees your work as “legit”. Banks HATE remote workers. God forbid I don’t work 40 hours a week. I even showed 2 years work history and taxes and it wasn’t good enough for the banks.

  31. Working from home is hard af these are great tips

  32. Girl I wish I worked remotely and could control my schedule. These are great tips, and I will keep them in mind because I sure my next job will be part remote (speaking it into existence)!

  33. Wow. I’ve been actually considering working remotely. What are the odds of you making a video about it lol maybe it’s a sign

  34. Setting up one on one conversations is smart! I want to work remotely one day..because I plan to go back to school and I think that would be more convenient for my schedule. I’ve teleworked before though so I kinda get the process & like you said even on those days, people assume I’m not doing anything lol. Great informative vid 👍🏽

  35. Cyrious says:

Most of my career has been remote but I wouldn’t change it for the world… when I think of morning and rush hour traffic… looking at people daily that I can’t stand spending money on food and clothes.. i totally remind myself why I love it. But these are great tips for someone just starting out. ✌🏽 what I can’t stand is ppl that think you don’t have a job because you work from home… yes flexible but its a hustle too especially if it’s a major corporation.

  36. Yiru Chen says:

    Well done and well said!!

  37. Black Hax says:

Keep it up lady. I appreciate the content and it's generally very helpful. I'm thinking about working remotely myself.
