Remove batteries for 60 seconds put them back in hold the home button for 40 seconds .
It’s actually the back-home and left on selector simultaneously
I have toshiba & a replacement remote & I can't pair it 😫

First of all do not buy an Amazon fire stick. They are junk. Buy the Roku. They are wonderful. Trying to reset my remote to pair with fire stick does not work after factory reset. I bought the darn thing six months ago. it should have lasted for six years at least. I sent a word to Amazon and I was very nice. No response. This post from above girl is useless.

Didn’t work for me either. And the same remote works with other fire stick So I know the remote is not a problem. Just did a factory reset on the fire stick as well as the reset mentioned and this video
