If you want to add more Story posts to your Instagram Story highlight, you typically need to take a picture and post it to your Story first.
But what if you don’t want anyone to see the new post and you just want it to appear in Story highlight but not in Instagram Story as a new post?
There is an option in the settings for that. Inside of Instagram settings and privacy, you can limit who sees your Instagram Story posts. You can simply check all your followers here, post to Story, and then add that to Story Highlights.
Just remember to go back to settings and change everything back to normal.

I did the same thing lol…. Insta should just allow you post a highlight from camera roll…

I use another trick
Just add your story and delete it , after 24 hours go to setting and then account and then recently deleted from ther u restore it then u can add to your highlights ❤️

when i’m done adding all my stories i want in my highlights and then unselect everyone, will they see my stories or just my highlights ?
it only lets me hide 200 people and I have 256
Just select 1 close friend and post it that way.
I did it with close friends only and it does still work
