Can you do that same setup with the Google Home instead of Echo?
Is there a way to make echo dot play the sound itself along with its output (to lets say another speaker/headphone)
I'd like to know if it's possible to use two dots 3rd gen along side a studio or does it need to be one dot with a base, I have a 4k fire stick.

I find the echo so useless. It's barely ever stays connected and whenever I change streaming service i need to reconnect the Bluetooth every time. I cannot connect the echo to my firestick over wifi as it never finds it in the app. Only bluetooth

cant seem to pair echo 3 too surround sound anymore.. Its greyed out in the app.. Only Echo dot v4 are supported now
Couldn't you have just plugged an audio cable from TV to the speaker?.how is this a "home theater" with just 1 speaker?

I have gotten this all set up but there is no sound coming from the television. Is there supposed to be sound coming from both devices, or is all sound just routed to the paired Echo speaker?
Believe me Amazon echo sucks I have ο£Ώ HomePod mini and I just want to test Amazon echo and there results were – no base on Amazon echo or on echo Dot Amazon speakers sucks if you want good base and good sound then I should recommend ο£Ώ HomePod pay little bit extra and you wonβt regret

Hi Brett . Thank you very much for your video I just purchased the Echo Dot 4 generation and downloaded the new Amazon alexa app but other than the fact the app appearance has been change, the mist important is On Echo section where to chose Speakers there is no AUX option. There is just bluetooth and built in option . I have no Aux so when I connect the external speaker by aux to Echo Dot , the sound of the firetv does not go to external speaker and it just plays on Echo dot but if you select a music frkm amazon music the voice plays through the aux and external speaker. Can you help me with the issue please?

I went through the set up and it looked like it worked but I only get sound from my tv still while my FireTV stick 4K Max remote controls the Echo 4th gens volume. Any idea whatβs wrong?

This trick is so good. Would try it for sure. These mediatek-powered Echo devices are pretty good for the users.
I'm thinking about doing this because I already have a Fire TV Stick 4K.
Iβve done all this correctly and I love it!! But my fire tv stick in the bedroom will freeze up and sometimes restart after about 45 minutes of being on. Not sure why!! π₯²

Just found your page…good info.. Wondering if you have ever run into VPN issues with the dot? I have an echo dot paired with firestick setup in home theater mode so the dot provides the sound for my TV.Β Works great except when I start a VPN…than no sound.Β Used with Windscribe and ProtonVpn…same results, picture and no sound.
