The tv they use to change inputs is an LG tv
question, do you need literally all those wires for this thing to even work? can i just plug it into the HDMI port and use it that way? or do i have to have like two ugly wires hanging down my tv.

My Roku Streaming Stick remote will not power on, even after changing batteries several times. It is currently on the pairing screen, but without a working remote I cannot move pass this screen. I have my Roku Stick pulled into the HDMI on my XBOX One, so could I use my XBOX controller to pair the device?

My issue is that my dog ate my remote. After I purchased a new remote the Roku stick+ wouldn’t pair with the new remote and I couldn’t get past the second screen that shows pairing with a .03 in it. I then tried to download the remote app onto my phone (and the app actually found the device) but after selecting it I then received the error of “check to see if your roku device is plugged in and on the network”. Any help is appreciated….
