It is very a close fight.,,, grappling and take down only saves him. But in striking Gane smoking him. 1&2 clearly Gane round while 3&4 clearly Ngannou but round 5 could be an any man round.,, it could be a draw. Nevertheless, the truth remains that the Predator doesn't want to engage Gane in striking and just use grappling to stay in the game. It was not a dominant and explosive performance of Ngannou.
This is the last time we'll see Francis in the UFC. Sad to see him get released and vacate the belt, but the heavyweight division must not be held up.

The only time Gane tasted defeat in his entire fighting career, both in MMA and Muay Thai. But I think he's the kind of fighter that can learn from this loss and come back even more unstoppable

I've had a full blown acl tear and damaged mcl. To think he fought with those injuries is wild. For me, I was able to walk with a cane 2 weeks after injury…. But that's an ACL tear, theyre worse in terms of walking and explosion. I think MCL tears affect your lateral movement more than anything else. He fought the fight smart, wrestle and ground game rack up points.
The problem is that when Ngannou gets hit… nothing happens to him!!!
Gane really goofed up by going for that leg lock. He wins the fight if he doesn’t do that.
