I am currently stranded in Montana, long story involving a job I will no longer be apart of.
FYI for future… Burbank Airport or Long Beach also are good. They're smaller and less known but have major airlines that fly out… most often Jet Blue going W to E. Or United. You can do short hops with Southwest Airlines fairly cheap compared to the others. To eat? Find out where the "best food trucks" are they make awesome food. Ask the locals that work at the airport. They told my bro in law if you take off your cast and the bone isn't supported you can kill the marrow… lose your foot at worst case. Might want to follow doctor's instructions even if you have a stubborn streak lol.

The weather most likely was the killer hurricane, Ian! It ground Florida like ground round! That's why the flights piled up due to airports closing! My son works at SRQ airport and he is missing a week of work…

You should have flown to Vegas. There are more flight leaving direct and fairly cheap. Plus if you need to stay overnight, the majority of off strip, the motels are fairly cheap.

I can do you guys one better. Me and my mom missed our flight from Berlin, Germany back in July coming home from a trip. We got lucky though and got on a flight 6 hours later. Ended getting home around 3 am, then i had to go to work an hour later. Fun times!
Do you guys live in Ohio or Florida? Florida was hammered by Hurricane Ian. Can't you get a rental car and drive to Las Vegas? LA is pretty big there must be a cheap motel you can stay at.
