I purchased 2 in under 2 years with lines through pictures ! LG TVs only having 1 yr lifespan are criminal ! But they getting away with it ! At least Samsung issues were replacing a part ! Lg ARE TRASH AFTER 12 MONTHS OF LIGHT USE !
Why is this a problem? It happens all the time and at $72.99 a month…..it's a pain in the ass. I did your tricks and they seem to work…but only for awhile. I've even deleted and and relaunched. I'm tired of this. Is this an LG issue…because my TV in my bedroom works totally fine. I'm thinking of getting a whole new TV. UGGGGGHHHH!

I have tried all of these steps except buying a Roku. Why did this happen all of a sudden and on both tvs?
I have a LG oled TV from 2015, the problem with these models is that YouTube first works normally but after seeing a couple videos it shows a black screen with player bar (not running). It can also happen after clicking the first video you gonna watch; the ads run and after the ads it just stops in the same way.
I get it to work again by simply putting the tv on and off.
I've tried every solution out there, contacted both LG and YouTube.. LG says it's a problem with the YouTube app and there so they can not fix it.. and YouTube is unreachable 🙄
The fixes here work, but what's extremely frustrating is I keep having to do it! Why the holy heck do I need to keep deleting and reinstalling this stupid YouTube TV for it to work, beyond frustrating

Many thanks for that Juan. Switching off at the wall for 60 seconds did the trick. It was so annoying to have Youtube just not connecting and just showing the loading circle. Yet it was working ok on my PC and on my phone.Youtube provides so much great info it is amazing that this can happen – I presume the problem is with Youtube and not the LG Smart tv ??

For three days I've tried my YouTube TV app on my LG Smart TV and it just hour glasses and was not connecting while all my other apps like Netflix and Disney+ worked just fine. I found your video and the first step did the trick. I unplugged the TV for a while and once plugged back in tried the app and its working again. Who knew it was that simple, THANK YOU!!
My app works ok most of the time but when I watch anything live it keeps buffering then jumping.

No, it is the app. It is so badly coded. One would assume a company like youtube would know how to code an app to work properly.
